Overlanding and van-based camping continue to reshape the accessory market, according to season-to-date sales reviewed by our export team. Orders tied to vehicle-based travel, from awning rigging to utility rope assortments, have grown faster than any other segment this year.
The pattern reflects how overlanders shop. They build systems rather than single purchases, adding organization, recovery, and camp comfort gear over time. Cordage fits naturally into this behavior: a spool of paracord or a bundle of utility rope solves dozens of small problems on the road.
Retailers serving this audience are responding with curated bundles that pair rope products with tensioners, carabiners, and storage pouches. Our guyline kit format, originally designed for tents, has been adopted by several van accessory brands as a general rigging solution for awnings and shower enclosures.
Looking ahead, the product roadmap includes longer-length spools sized for vehicle recovery and awning applications, plus packaging formats designed for drawer-style van storage. Distributors interested in the overlanding channel can request the segment briefing pack through their sales contact.
Several practical product implications follow from the overlanding trend. Longer spool lengths, once considered a niche format, now sell steadily to van owners who want one supply for awning rigging, recovery assist, and camp repairs. Storage matters too: flat pouches that fit drawer systems outsell bulky bags, so packaging for the overlanding channel has been redesigned accordingly. Finally, overlanders read specifications carefully and share reviews widely, so accurate published figures for strength and dimensions have become a commercial advantage rather than a compliance chore. Brands serving this audience benefit from publishing honest data and standing behind it.
